Web Design & Hosting

Thinking of launching a website? Here are some things to keep in mind. There are essentially three pieces required to get your business or organization online:

Web Design & Development - The cost of designing and creating the pages of your website varies depending on the type of content, how many pages your site will have, whether you need special graphics designed, etc. Additional features like a database backend (for easy updates you can do yourself) or secure payment for online purchasing will also increase the design cost. Designing your site can cost as little as $500 while more complex sites can be in the range of $2,000 to $3,000 or more.

Domain Registration - Your domain is the name you will have on the Internet, for example fyihaliburton.com or earthandfirepottery.ca. There is an annual fee of $25 to reserve this name.

Web Hosting - This is the annual cost to host your web pages on an Internet server so that everyone can visit your site. When you host with Wolf Song, you get 99.5% uptime; one or more email addresses; search engine optimization; and detailed, graphical web traffic statistics.
